WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today
announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product.
Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless
otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell

More Than One Million Dollars in Property Damage Linked to
Goldstar and Comfort-Aire Dehumidifiers
LG Electronics Tianjin Appliance Co., in cooperation with the
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is urging consumers
to check if they have recalled Goldstar or Comfort-Aire
dehumidifiers. The firm is re-announcing the recall of about 98,000
of the dangerous dehumidifiers that pose a serious fire and burn
hazard, and are believed to be responsible for more than one
million dollars in property damage.
